   Intel Corporation, founded on July 18, 1968, is a short form of Integrated Electronics. Intel also makes motherboard chipsets, network interface controllersand integrated circuits, flash memory, graphic chips, embedded processors and other devices related to communications and computing.

   In 1968, Robert Noyce and Gordon Moore were two unhappy engineers working for the Fairchild Semiconductor Company who decided to quit and create their own company at a time when many Fairchild employees were leaving to create start-ups.
